Paid Canvassing Job Opportunity

Help elect Juan Estrada to the Georgia State House.

Juan Estrada’s campaign for Georgia House District 109 is hiring paid canvassers to help turn out voters in Gwinnett County ahead of the May 19 Democratic Primary.

This is a short-term, paid campaign opportunity for people who are energetic, reliable, and ready to talk directly with voters about why this election matters.

Job Description

Paid canvassers will be responsible for going door-to-door in targeted neighborhoods across Gwinnett County to speak with voters, share information about Juan Estrada, identify supporters, and help make sure voters have a plan to vote.

Canvassers are the front line of this campaign. You will help voters learn about Juan’s story as a Gwinnett attorney, son of immigrants, Norcross graduate, and advocate for working families, renters, seniors, students, and small businesses.

Responsibilities

Canvassers will:

  • Knock doors in assigned neighborhoods

  • Speak with voters about Juan Estrada and the May 19 Democratic Primary

  • Record voter responses accurately using a campaign canvassing app

  • Help voters find early voting and Election Day information

  • Identify supporters and encourage them to vote

  • Communicate regularly with campaign staff

  • Represent the campaign in a respectful, professional, and positive way

Schedule

Positions are available part-time or full-time now through Election Day on May 19.

Weekend and weekday shifts available. Applicants should be prepared to work outdoors and walk for extended periods of time. Shifts are 2 hours each with a 30 minute break (which can be divided into two 15 minute breaks at each hour).

In case of inclement weather, canvassers will be asked to help the campaign with phone banking using their laptops and phones.

SHIFT TIMEFRAMES:

Monday - Friday: 4pm-8pm
Saturday: 10am-7pm
Sunday: 2pm-7pm

Election Day Shifts: 6am-8am, 9am-11am, 11am-1pm, 1pm-3pm, 3pm-5pm, 5pm-7pm. We will get together for an election night party after 7pm on Tuesday, May 19.

Qualifications

No previous campaign experience is required. We are looking for people who are:

  • Reliable and on time

  • Comfortable talking to voters at the door

  • Positive, respectful, and community-minded

  • Able to walk outdoors for several hours

  • Able to use a smartphone canvassing app

  • Excited about helping elect new leadership in Gwinnett County
